As a fully qualified architecture working in London, baking may not have been the most obvious career choice, but when Lucia begun to apply her precision and eye for detail to decorating cupcakes she was making for her second niece’s birth it was clear that there was an exceptional talent in this field. Thus Sweet Bea’s was born, in honour of her niece Bella Bea, as struggling to buy the perfect present for her birth, Lucia decided to make a box of her signature rose cupcakes. A self confessed perfectionist Lucia is always looking to teach herself new techniques and set about creating cakes that resembled the most beautiful pale pink roses. Once family and friends saw and tried these cupcakes requests begun to pour in and Sweet Bea’s was well and truly established.

Always wanting to push herself creatively Lucia begun to branch out into celebration cakes and wedding cakes which proved to be exquisite works of art with Lucia’s zest for perfection. Not only does Lucia strive to create the perfect looking cake that is elegant and beautiful, but she also wants it to taste great too. She uses organic ingredients, wherever possible, and never freezes her cakes as she wants to ensure the best possible taste and texture.

Lucia’s dream when starting out was to have her cakes sold in the famous Harrods food hall, and this was accomplished in 2015, just a few years after Sweet Bea’s was established.

Now Lucia busies herself trying to find new ideas and techniques that can make her cakes even more delicious and unique. Loving a challenge, she welcomes all ideas that you may have and will do her utmost to turn your dreams into a reality.
