This was one of my favourite cakes to date to make as I worked so closely with the bride to bring her dreams for her special day to reality. I visited her and her sister in their home for the initial consultation where we discussed all of her visions whilst trying all the different delicious flavours I make.

These included red velvet, oreo cookies, chocolate, salted caramel, and vanilla. I love wedding chat and hearing the excitement from the brides ahead of their magical day, especially when done whilst sampling cake. This bride wanted the cake to be served as dessert so it needed to serve 200 guests. We decided on a 5 tier extravaganza of a wedding cake with each tier having a different decoration.

At the consultation the bride fell in love with the oreo flavour, but at the last minute got cold feet (thankfully only about the cake and not the groom!) as she worried that not all the guests would love it as much as she did, and therefore we changed it to a classic chocolate filling.

The bottom tier was my signature buttercream roses, followed by a plain iced tier, then a silver leaf tier, on top of this was a pale pink tier with the couples wedding logo on, and finally the top tier was silver leaf again with ivory buttercream roses. The end result was a dreamy, romantic, modern, exquisite, statement wedding cake which captured all that the bride wished for.
